Workout 369

This was a good workout for a weekday workout.  It’s my last one for six weeks!!!  Tomorrow I have a bilateral reduction mammaplasty.  There are so many people that have documented their experience with this surgery, it’s unlikely I will post much about it unless I feel I have something more to add.  As I worked out, I couldn’t help but think how difficult getting back to this level of performance will be after six weeks.  Once I have a more balanced body, I know I can go beyond where I am now, I just don’t know if I’m mentally up to the challenge.  FitBit Calories:  129

I duplicated yesterday’s strategy by sleeping an extra hour and making sure I had a cup of coffee first.  It was a good weekend workout, though my breath control required more attention than usual.  This leaves two workouts to go before my surgery.  I contemplated working out the morning of the surgery, but I don’t want to raise my blood pressure unnecessarily or have an extended period of profuse sweating if the air is humid.  I shudder to think how much my weight is going to increase during a 6-week hiatus.  FitBit Calories:  138

I slept in and had a cup of coffee to make sure I had a shot at a decent workout.  I’ve been sleeping badly and missed Friday’s workout.  It worked.  This was the best workout all week.  Form and breath control were much better.  I’m still experiencing that soreness, but it wasn’t as distracting as it has been.  It also looks like a broke through my mini-plateau and started dropping weight again.  FitBit Calories:  137

So despite great reluctance, I skipped yesterday. The soreness I felt Monday was worse on Tuesday. I don’t want to have my surgery with strained muscles. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to do any good. I was still unusually sore today. Same area, where the buttocks meet the upper thigh. Not an ideal spot for tiger balm. I’ll try easing up on the lunges tomorrow and see it that helps.
